One Year Old

Andrew,
It's hard to believe you are one year old. Where did this last year go?? You have grown up so quickly in just 12 short months. You have truly been a blessing in our family. This year has been a great year for our family. You have filled our home with your laugh and cute smiles. For your lst birthday Mom tried to make you a dinosaur cake. You didn't care at all what it looked like. You just wanted to get you hands on it and start eating. Within a few minutes your face was covered with green frosting. You loved it. For your birthday present you got a frog story book. It has a mirror on the last page you got a kick out of seeing yourself in the mirror.
At the great age of 1 you have already learned to do a lot of things. You have been crawling for several months now. You started off doing the army crawl but have since switched to regular crawling cause it's much faster. You can climb up stairs but you can't crawl downstairs yet which really scares mom cause she is afraid of you falling. You can stand up and walk along the couch while holding on to the couch. You have a fear of falling and hurting yourself. Cause whenever you start to slip and fall you catch yourself and start crying. If might be a few months before you start walk. You love to eat too. Your favorite things to eat right now are bananas, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cereal, pancakes and whatever else mom give you. You're not that big on drinking juice you would much rather have milk. Whenever someone has a plate of food you will always find them a beg for a bite.
So far you have had about 5 hair cuts. Mom and Dad gave you one just yesterday. Your hair grows so fast. Your hair has also lighted up quite a bit since you where born. It is a very light brown color now. You are pretty good at sitting through hair cuts. Dad cuts your hair while Mom tries to keep you still. Then it's straight to the bath. You love to take baths and play in the water. You love to splash your hands in the water and kick your feet. You also love to play in the water at the beach and in the pool. You are not afraid to get wet. You also have been a little explorer and have found Moms pots and pans in the kitchen cabinets. You will pull them out and bang them around to make lots of noise. At 10 months you weighed about 19 pounds. For some reason everyone thinks you are older than you really are. You are about average size for your age. You have 5 teeth right now with more coming in.
Andrew, we love you so much. It is so fun to have a sweet little baby in our home. Your beautiful brown eyes and your smile really light up our home. We love you Andrew.
