Andrew's Baby Blessing Oct. 11, 2009

The Baby Blessing of Andrew Parker Converse
October 11th 2009 Pickerington Ohio Ward
Given by Noah Ridings Converse

Our Father in Heaven, by the power of the holy Melchizedek priesthood which we hold, we take this infant in our arms and give it a name and a blessing, and by the name by which he shall be known upon the records of the church and to his friends is Andrew Parker Converse. Andrew you have been very fortunate to come forth in the fullness of time, to receive the fullness of the gospel in your lifetime. To have the opportunity to gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon, the life and work of the prophet Joseph Smith and most importantly of our Savoir Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for us. We bless you at this time Andrew, that you will have the faith necessary to hold to the iron rod and be valiant in your faith and to serve the Lord humbly. We bless you that at the appropriate time in your life, you will have the opportunity to be baptized and to make scared covenants with the Lord, to receive the Holy Ghost and to serve the Lord as a missionary. We bless you that you will have the courage to be unashamed of your testimony of Jesus Christ. Though some my mock, you will be able to have the Holy Ghost as your companion, to have comfort in difficult times in your life which are sure to come, for they come to all of us. We bless you that you will be appreciative of your heritage and your ancestors, that you will strive to serve those in your family particular those who have passed on before you and bring the gospel to your kindred dead. We also bless you that you will make good choices in your life and at the appropriate time, you will be able to make sacred covenants with the Lord in his Holy temple. The Lord loves you and the Lord has blessed you with parents who will lead and guide you. You are admonished to remember the sacrifice of your savior Jesus Christ that this may be a central part of your life, that you will learn to rely on him and have a personal relationship with him. And these things we bless you with in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
